In the last years of Sees Vlag's life, operating the printing press became too much. That's why he devoted himself to drawing. Cloudy skies in particular. With a small piece of the city visible at the bottom, usually of The Hague. Where the cloudy skies in Sees Vlag's linocuts served as illustrations, in his drawings it is the other way around. Once you know these drawings and look at the sky, you will sometimes catch yourself thinking: 'yes, I know that sky from Sees Vlag!' Pulchri exhibited a large-scale overview of these drawings in 2015.

Sees Vlag (Gouda, 15 July 1934 – The Hague, 1 January 2018) was a Dutch artist, graphic artist and painter. Vlag was best known for his architectural linocuts and silkscreen prints in pastel shades. One of his best-known works was: 's-Gravenhage - Dagelijkse Groenmarkt (1984), consisting of 84 printing runs. Vlag mainly incorporated cityscapes of The Hague and industrial monuments in his oeuvre, but also worked on commission for UNICEF and the NS, among others. From 1954 to 1959 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague. During his active years, Vlag was a prominent member of the artists' association Pulchri Studio. He died on 1 January 2018 as a result of a heart attack. Sees Vlag was 83 years old
