Lithograph depicting the character “Angel More” from The Mother of Us All, a pop opera by Virgil Thomson. Robert Indiana designed the costumes and sets for this 1976 production, which depicted several historical figures who played important roles in the Women's Suffrage movement. The lithograph is based on Robert Indiana's original costume design for the character “Angel More”.

Billing itself as "An American Pop Opera," with guest designer Robert Indiana, "The Mother of Us All" was first performed in 1967 by the Walker Art Center's Center Opera Company at the Tyrone Guthrie Theater. A 2017 revival of "The Mother of Us All" was staged in New York City to critical acclaim.
