PIET TUYTEL
Er zijn beelden die de ruimte annexeren, andere structureren en er zijn er die definiëren. Tot die laatste categorie behoren de sculpturen van Piet Tuytel (Alblasserdam,1956).
Tuytel houdt van het vlakke polderlandschap, waarvan de leegte tastbaar wordt door een enkele boerderij of mast. Soms ontbreken zelfs die spaarzame elementen en moet je – zoals hij zegt – zelf je paaltjes in de grond slaan om de blik te focussen.
