Heymans, Laurentius ('Louis'): geboren te Utrecht 17 juli 1890 overleden te Beek (L) 1977. Woonde en werkte in Utrecht, Schiedam, Vlissingen en Middelburg. Leerling van de Akademie v. B.K. in Den Haag (akte M.O. tekenen). Aanvankelijk korte tijd kunstnijveraar. Schildert, aquarelleert, tekent, veel etsen en litho's in naturalistische trant, liefst Zeeuwse onderwerpen. Later im- en expressionistisch, abstract en wel met allerlei materialen. Belangrijk Zeeuws kunstenaar. Mede oprichter van Kunstkring het Zuiden, lid van St. Lucas te Amsterdam.
Ere tentoonstellingen en werk in musea te Middelburg en Amsterdam.
