Lotti van der Gaag kende alle belangrijke Nederlandse experimentele schildrs zoals Corneille, Appel e.a . Heeft in Parijs gestudeerd en was getrouwd met de schilder Kees van Bohemen. Zij heeft te weinig aandacht gekregen want ze was zeer getalenteerd. Dit vroege werk is van grote schoonheid.
