Johannes Karel Veerman was a Dutch graphic artist, painter and draftsman trained at the Drawing and Painting Academy 'Ars Aemulae Naturae' in Leiden. His oeuvre is very versatile in nature and varies from nautical themes to landscapes and cityscapes. Our work was donated by Veerman to the Social Services of the Municipality of Haarlem on February 22, 1960. The work belonged to the inventory of the Service for Nationally Distributed Art Objects in The Hague.
