Wim BOSMA 1902 - 1985 was a painter who was strongly attracted by the 'wonders' of modern, 20th-century technique. He therefore liked to paint and watercolor things such as railway viaducts, trains, boats and flying machines. His most famous work is the stations and ports from the 1930s, painted in a new-business, realistic style. In addition, his paintings from this period also show the influence of the moderate cubism of Andr_ Lhote, in which the depiction consists of lines and areas of color that emphasize the flatness of the canvas, as it were. After 1945, besides technical subjects, other motifs also appeared in his work. Museums: including the Central Museum in Utrecht.
