Ulla PROCOPE (1921 - 1968)
Ceramic artist Ulla Procope wanted to show with her designs that industrially manufactured products do not always have to lose their artistic properties. After her studies in Helsinki, she started working for Arabia in 1948, where Kaj Franck was director. Together with designers such as Saara Hopea and Kaarina Aho she worked on objects of use. An example of this is the Valencia design from 1960, which is still in production at Arabia to this day.
