Krekel VAN SPRONSEN (Haarlem 1948 - Haarlem 2011)
Krekel van Spronsen-Duller studied ceramics in Haarlem (1964-1965) and was trained in sculpture at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. She received the Esso Prize upon her graduation in 1971. She married sculptor Erik van Spronsen (1948-2020). The couple settled in Haarlem.
Krekel van Spronsen made geometric sculptures, often using the circle as a starting point. She used the circle as an autonomous form, or built it up from triangles and squares. From 1982 to 1992 she was a teacher of plastic and spatial forms at the Hague Academy.
