Johanna Hendrika Pieneman was a Dutch painter. She came from an old Amsterdam artist family. Her father was Nicolaas Pieneman (Breukelen, 1853 - Maarssen, 1945), a descendant of the eighteenth-century painter Jan Willem Pieneman (1779-1853, director of the Royal Picture Gallery and the Royal Academy in Amsterdam).

Johanna was taught by, among others, Carel Dake, Antoon Derkinderen and Theo van Doesburg. She painted, watercolored and drew (pastel) landscapes, flowers and especially birds in a figurative, impressionistic style. Her work is considered part of the Amsterdam School. Her brother Nicolaas (1880-1938) was also a painter. She also painted a lot in France.
