Henrich Carl MAC-LEAN (Rotterdam 1898 - Rotterdam1972)
Mac-Lean was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam. Made study trips to Munich and Florence. Received a royal grant in 1926 and five years later the Willink van Collen Prize. Was a member of the Haagsche Kunstkring and the Rotterdam Artists' Society. Painted nudes, landscapes, portraits, wall paintings and still lifes. His style gradually changed from naturalistic to expressionistic.
