Hein Laupman was a sculptor and painter known for his animal sculptures. He was born in 1912 in Java. Laupman made various stylized animals from various materials, such as wood and clay. He also worked with the glass factory Leerdam from 1954 to 1965, where his animal sculptures were made of glass. From 1965 to 1975 Laupman designed packaging glass at Vereenigde Glasfabrieken Schiedam.
