Abraham RADEMAKER (Lisse 1676 - Haarlem 1735)

Biography

Abraham Rademaker was a Dutch self-taught print artist, painter, draftsman and etcher. Already in his youth he was engaged in drawing and taught himself the trade. The subjects of his art concern topographical images, landscapes and castles. In the eighteenth century his prints became very popular among collectors. Much of his work ended up in museum collections during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The work of Abraham Rademaker can be seen in the Centraal Museum in Utrecht, among others.
