The painter Willem Jacobus Alberts was born on October 21, 1912 in Amsterdam and died in 1990 in Oldebroek. He lived and worked in his hometown for a large part of his life. Also in Oldenbroek and Wezep.
This pupil of Minne Bakker exchanged the big city for the province in the fifties. There he found inspiration for his paintings and watercolours.
