Rüdiger Brassel creates artistic graphics of unique quality. In his sheets he uses various etching techniques, such as soft ground etching, drypoint etching and aquatint. The artistic idea is directly expressed in his works. Brassel makes the plates himself and also makes his own original etchings.
Rüdiger Brassel is a certified decorative painter. He attended the Graphic School in Bonn and made studies in oil paint, watercolor, tempera and mixed media. The first etchings were created in 1977. Brassel was particularly fascinated by the technique of color etching, which he has perfected to this day. Rüdiger Brassel has worked as a freelance artist since 1978. The successful exhibitions that he achieved with his work in Germany and at international art fairs such as those in Bologna, Basel, London, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington and Tokyo, confirm his work.
