Raymond Moretti - Rue Saint Denis 14

Original lithograph from 1974 by French artist Raymond Moretti, signed in pencil and numbered 47/185 framed under glass in a gallery quality frame. Born in Nice in 1931, Moretti began his career in Nice in the workshops of the Victorine workshops where he created his sculpture The Monster in wood, metal, plexiglass and glass. At 22, he met Pablo Picasso who would become his friend. He exhibited twelve oil paintings on the theme “Cries of the world” in Paris in 1965. He moved to the capital at the beginning of the 1970s. In Paris, he decorated the Forum des Halles in 1979, the sets of the sets dedicated to the presidential and legislative elections of 1981 and sculpts the Quatre Temps clock in the La Défense shopping arcade. He was also an illustrator of the “Front page” of the “Revue Littéraire” for more than twenty years.
