A beautiful vintage bowl from the sixties by artist Jan van Erp.
The bowl is in excellent condition, no damage and still has the original sticker. Dimensions: w32 x d13 x h5cm.
Johannes Paulus Arnoldus Carolus (Jan) van Erp was born in The Hague on February 8, 1914 and died on April 9, 1989 in Eindhoven.
This bowl comes from the studio of Jan van Erp who went through the academy in The Hague. Jan van Erp had great interest in ceramics. In 1946 he moved to Waalre in North Brabant and started a ceramics workshop that specialized in design ceramics after the war. In the workshop, which had several employees, all kinds of ornamental and drinking items were made, from cups and saucers to plaques. This bowl dates from the 1960s. The studio was managed by Jan van Erp until 1974, after which he left the business to an employee until the company went bankrupt in 1980 (April 4).
