This work is based on a painting titled 'iPhone' from 2008. It is a self-portrait in which Tuymans photographed his own shadow with his iPhone. For the edition, this work was captured in an oval 'medallion' and put in relief. The silkscreen was pressed out of the sheet with a mold and gives a unique 3D effect that is reminiscent of an antique oval convex mirror.
