Liesbeth Kraaijpoel (1953 - 2017)


Liesbeth was a double talent: she studied piano and cello at the Muzieklyceum in Amsterdam and painting and graphics at the Rietveldacademie there. Her father was the famous painter and teacher Diederik Kraaijpoel. Liesbeth worked both as a painter and as a pianist. Liesbeth lived and worked in Amsterdam. Her specialties were portraits, especially of playing musicians, still lifes and scenes from daily life.
Born in Amsterdam 1953, died in Amsterdam 2017. Exhibitions include: the Singer Museum in Laren; Centraal Beheer Apeldoorn; the Amstelkerk in Amsterdam; the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Work by Liesbeth Kraaijpoel is in the collections of ING Bank, AZG in Groningen, the Amsterdam District Court, Nauta Dutilh Amsterdam and many private collections.
