Jasper Jeroen (Jasper) Krabbé is a Dutch visual artist. Krabbé is the middle son of the actor and visual artist Jeroen Krabbé, grandson of visual artist Maarten Krabbé and great-grandson of visual artist Hendrik Maarten Krabbé.
Jasper Krabbé graduated cum laude (painting and graphics) from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and from the Cooper Union New York. Jasper Krabbé's paintings reflect the memory of places, events and individuals, acquired during trips to Cuba, the South Pacific and New Zealand, among others. Krabbé started his artistic career on the street: as the graffiti artist 'Jaz' he was part of the Amsterdam collective USA (United Street Artists).
In his drawings, Jasper Krabbé often uses existing material such as envelopes, wrapping paper and pages from books or encyclopedias. In doing so, he mixes the original function with personal images. Jasper Krabbé previously had solo exhibitions in Sweden, Brazil, Italy and the United States, among others, and is represented by Galerie van der Mieden in Antwerp. The artist's work is included in collections of, among others, De Nederlandsche Bank and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
