Mooie tekening van het San Marco plein door Jan van Goethem. Getekend op zeer dik aquarel papier (Canson Montval Aquarelle, met blindstempel). Met potlood gesigneerd en gedateerd (1996) rechtsonder. In mint conditie.
Afmetingen: 65cm x 50cm (blad), 57cm x 47cm (beeld)

Jan van Goethem (Den Bosch 1930)
Omgevingskunstenaar, collagist, beeldhouwer, schilder en tekenaar. Zijn kunst is voor een belangrijk gedeelte geënt op geometrische lijnen en structuren, en hij is dan ook actief in de beeldende vormgeving in de architectuur. Zo is hij bijvoorbeeld bekend van kunstinstallaties in en op Amsterdamse woonwijken.
Beeldende kunst en architectuur gaan voor Van Goethem over vormgeving en constructie, over het maken van begrenzingen en het leggen van onderlinge verbanden.
