Herman van Swanevelt 1600-1655 Three etchings with minor defects. 1. The high mountain wall (=Hollstein 100-V, Bartsch 113). From a series of four large landscapes. Image 29.5 x 24.7 cm, with caption and margin 33 x 25.5 cm. Signed in the bottom margin. The mention of the publisher is printed very vaguely or partly removed (see second etching). Wrinkled and stained along the edges. A brown spot at the top right is visible in the image. The back is dirty with spots and remains of adhesive or reinforcement. 2. A group of trees on a boulder (=Hollstein 102-IV, Bartsch 115), from the same series as the first etching and in the same poor condition: two spots in the image, wrinkles along the edges, minimal tear in the upper right margin, back dirty. 3. The house on the rock (=Hollstein 98-IV, Bartsch 94) from a series of twelve landscapes. Signature, publisher and approval in the bottom margin. Image size 17.5 x 27.5 cm, with caption and margins 21.7 x 30.5 cm. Light brown moisture spots over the entire surface, visible folds in the bottom left and top left corners.
