The Nijmegen graphic artist and graphic designer Harry van Kuyk is the inventor of relief printing. For this, an extremely deep and high relief is printed on thick paper on a special press, without ink or paint: white on white.
Van Kuyk was trained in the world of typesetting and printing. Letter, word and typography are a common thread in his work. He bundled many prints in monumental editions. He provided many publications with a text. Each edition was produced in his own studio. The editions were small. The relief prints have been exhibited and collected worldwide.
Harry van Kuyk made a special contribution to Dutch graphic and book history. That contribution is of course best expressed in a book. That book has now been published.
