Fioen Blaisse (1932–2012) was a Dutch sculptor known for her expressive and timeless sculptures. Her work is characterized by a combination of abstraction and figuration, often focusing on human forms. Blaisse mainly worked with materials such as bronze and stone, in which she managed to capture organic lines and powerful structures. She was inspired by natural forms, human emotions and mythological themes. Her sculptures, often modest and poetic, can be found in public spaces and private collections in the Netherlands and abroad. Blaisse was appreciated for her ability to capture movement and harmony in static forms.
