Eugène Rensburg (Eugenius) was een Nederlandse kunstenaar die geboren is in 1872 in Den Haag en daar overleden is in 1956. Hij was een etser, schilder, tekenaar, pentekenaar en aquarellist. Onderwerpen voornamelijk stadsgezichten portretten en historische genres. Opleiding aan de Kunstnijverheidsschool Quellinus (Amsterdam) en aan de Academie van beeldende kunsten (Den Haag). Woonde en werkte in Den Haag, Amsterdam, Parijs, Berlijn, Wenen, Frankfurt, Boedapest, langs de Rijn, Donau, Seine, aan de Thames bij Londen, langs de Zuiderzee. Heeft lang in Rotterdam gewoond. Leerling van de Quellinusschool (avondcursus) te Amsterdam en van de Academie v. B.K. in Den Haag (vanaf ca. 1890) o.l.v. J. van Delden. Heeft meer dan 5000 etsen gemaakt, waaronder ca. 450 stuks van de stad. Bron: R.K.D. en Scheen.
