Beautiful, heavy bronze statue, Hasselter Aachen by the well-known Dutch sculptor, graphic artist and medalist Eric Claus.
Beautiful patina.
Is signed, which in itself is unique, as he rarely signed their works of art. Eric Claus (Haarlem, 3 June 1936) made many sculptures in public spaces and museums.
The large statue of this statue is in Hasselt, Overijssel. Only a few figurines of these dimensions were made in 2000.
It concerns 2 sailing Hasselter Aachen, ships that were built in Hasselt in the 19th century.
Signed: Claus and 2000.
Weight: 1491 grams.
Provenance: Collection Streefoord Eemnes.
