oil painting by the renowned Italian painter Enrico Groppi (1911-1972). He received several awards in Italy for his work. Enrico Groppi was a nationally recognized artist born in Codogno in 1911 and died in Milan in 1972. He began painting as a boy, attending the studio of Angelo Prada in Casalpusterlengo, then moving to Ottavio Steffenini. His painting is very sensitive in tones saturated with poetry. He was repeatedly awarded at the "Rassegna di pittura" in Casalpusterlengo (1956, 1957 and 1958). He participated in the Permanente and Biennale di Brera exhibitions and in the Bergamo Prize. He had a personal exhibition at Gussoni in Milan in April 1959. His works can be found in the Civic Gallery of Modern Art Ricci Oddi in Piacenza and in the Palazzo Lamberti Museum, where there is a room dedicated to the author. His works are also in several private collections.
