With reproductions of 50 masterpieces by Canaletto of Venice and other cities, housed in a handsome, literally heavy, hardcover box with 'Morocco' leather spine with gold lettering. This together with a book, hardcover with gold lettering of 44 pages, containing texts by various authors + 74 more illustrations, accompanied by an introduction by Charlotte Miller, former Deputy Curator of the Print Room, Royal Library at Windsor Castle. Photography and colour lithography were carried out at a location available in the grounds of Windsor Castle with the kind permission of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The original drawings were recorded there directly by a special 'colour separation camera' whereby any loss of distinction and/or distortion of colours was eliminated. Edition 1983 London Reprint Corporation I Harcourt Brace Jovanovich I printed by Curwen Press, London and bound by AWLumsden, Edinburgh. Design John Dreyfuss. Exterior in very good condition. Interior in perfect new condition. Beautiful copy!
