Petrus Theodorus (Bob) Immink , born 06-06-1930 in Amsterdam and died 01-06-1989 in Ilpendam (Waterland), painter, graphic artist, screen printer and watercolorist.
At the age of 37, he moved to a detached house in Ilpendam with a view of the meadows of the Waterland polder land. This landscape was captured by him many times in oil paintings and watercolors by means of his characteristic broad brush line.
Bob Immink was not only a painter of the Zaans/Waterland landscape. He traveled a lot in his life and everywhere he made sketches and paintings of the landscape: Greek temples, American and Norwegian mountain landscapes, deserts and abandoned villages in the Spanish plains.
