Arkadiy Kurta does not treat the women he photographs as sexual objects. His images possess the subtleties required to expose the delicate 'shades of grey' that separate art from eroticism and sexuality which places them comfortably on the borderline between expression & desire. His fine art nudes have a particular eloquence that is clarified by the grace of monochrome. The absence of color confers upon these poetic works an added solemnity that weaves seamlessly throughout these subtle expositions of the female form.
