Very beautiful and large painting by Adolphe van Weezel Errens (1886-1939) of the Treek near Amersfoort/Leusden.

Education: State Normal School for Drawing Teachers in Amsterdam and Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague.

The painter Adolf van Weezel – Errens lived and worked in The Hague, Utrecht, Tilburg, France and from 1903 in Amersfoort. He was a drawing teacher at the HBS in Amersfoort.

He is known for his beautiful forest and heath landscapes. Was a member of Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam. Many exhibitions of his work were held around 1900 in various large cities, including the Frans Hals Museum. Mentioned in Scheen.
