Founded in 1920 - dissolved in 1930
Flemish Expressionism arose from the Latem School during the First World War. Flemish expressionism therefore came later than international expressionism. It had a distinctly figurative and narrative expression of art, yet the reality in the works of Flemish expressionism was greatly distorted.
