Founded in 1948 - dissolved in 1969
A number of graphic designers founded the Association of Advertising Designers and Illustrators (VRI). This was a group that did not feel at home with the GKf, because it had a focus on Amsterdam and was exclusive. The VRI mainly consisted of graphic designers from Rotterdam and The Hague who worked more commercially. The VRI advocated better recognition of advertising designers. Ultimately, the VRI merged with the GKf to form the professional association Grafisch Vormgevers Nederland, also known as GVN.
