Founded in 1977 - dissolved in 1996
The aim of the Women in the Visual Arts Foundation, or SVBK, was to make the contribution of women in art visible and to promote the emancipation of female artists. For example, the foundation published a newsletter four times a year, which eventually led to the establishment of the magazine Space: for women in the visual arts and architecture in 1984. This magazine was published until 1996.
