Founded in 1963 - dissolved in 1972
The Gulden Vorm Foundation arose out of the need to improve the Dutch product. Since 1917, a fair has been organized twice a year in Utrecht where old and new products are presented. In order to give extra attention to responsible and innovative products, the Gulden Vorm Foundation has been established as a quality mark. This foundation was mainly concerned with the design of the products. This concerned glass, crystal, earthenware, porcelain and cutlery items. Certifacts are given based on price, function and beauty of the product concerned. Ultimately, the Gulden Vorm is discontinued due to doubts about the objectivity of the foundation and people no longer want to be taught the lesson about design. The Gulden Vorm Foundation dies a quiet death.
