Founded in 1903 - dissolved in 1918
De Tien was founded with the aim of gaining brand awareness and promoting the sale of the members' work. The name 'De Tien' came from the rule that the maximum number of members was ten, who all lived in the Gooi. Over the years, a total of 35 members have participated in more than 70 exhibitions across the country. The first exhibition took place in Hilversum, and immediately attracted the necessary interest. The Gooische Schildersclub has had many successes in its 15-year existence. De Tien was the predecessor of the Association of Visual Artists Laren-Blaricum.
