Monica Backström is a Swedish glass designer. She is known for her vases, utility glass and jewelry. Backström studied at the Konstfackskolan, where she graduated with a coffee set and silverware. After her studies, she started working at Boda Glassbruk, where she worked for another 40 years. She was given a lot of freedom and space to experiment with new techniques. During her career, ckaB mstet her collections responded to fashion trends and reflected on current events, so that the products can still tell us something about the time in which they were made.
